I received a call from 70000023 a male with an India accent stated that he was with Windows & that my computer is sending messages about being infected with maleware. He wanted me to turn it on so he could walk me through fixing the issues. I stated that was impossible. He asked me if I thought he was lying. I replied; Yes, I do. He then hung up without a cordial end to the call. My computer is new with protection & has never been linked to the Internet outside of the initial set-up that was done in store. This is a SCAM. ...

Caller with an Indian or Pakistani accent said he was calling from Windows in Alhambra, California, and that my computer had a problem. I asked him several questions about California, which he could not answer. Then he claimed he was calling from Lahore, Pakistan. When I told him he was trying to scam me, he became vulgar.

This is a very annoying scanner but the best part if the whole call was when I was asked if having window errors on my PC I responded "how is that possible when I don't actually use windows operating system, in fact I don't own a PC." I then asked where he was getting his info from inregards to errors on a nonexistent computer...that's when the call was disconnected

Called me saying he was from windows something or another, telling me I had some errors on my computer. I told him I would call the Window's Support Team, and ask them about the problem. He then immediately hung up. Definitely a scam, block the number.

I have received a call form this gentlemen a few minutes ago, he also sounded mid-eastern. He told me that his name was Andy and he wanted to know if I have been getting "error 404" on my windows computer. Lucky for me because I did not recognized his number and knowing that most number of the USA start with 1-800 I looked up and found this site. Then I told him that I was working with the FBI to find scammers like him and he is being tracked right now, at which point he hung up. (Hopefully I scared him enough so he doesn't call me again.) :)

It's a scam. They are trying to get you to give them access to your computer by saying there's something wrong with it. They will steal your information off your computer if you do this. They could get passwords, bank accounts, identity etc. Do not listen to them and report them.

This is a scammer. He called me and identified himself as William. Thick Middle Eastern accent. Started rambling on about how he is here to help me with my Windows Computer. Told me it may have recently downloaded malware that could damage my system. "Are you aware of these downloads" he asked me. I said no, and asked him again to clarify what he is calling about. He said, "Your computer, your Windows Computer". At this point I told him that his call was not credible, that I do not own a windows computer, and that this is illegal. He hung up, lol. Bastard.

I go 3 calls from this number in the last 2 days. It was the same guy with the same heavy accent. He said his name was Calvin and he was calling from Windows Technical Support Division about an error message that is occurring on computers that use Windows. I cut him off and said that I knew this was a scam and that he was breaking the law by calling my number through an Autodialer which is against the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. He hung up!

I received a call from this number today. It showed the location as United States and when I answered it a man with a heavy mid-eastern accent (very hard to understand)said he was calling about "Windows" for the future. I told him I wasn't interested and he continued to talk. I said I had received a scam call from another number and I did not want to discuss "Windows" and hung up. When I tried to call back a recording said this call cannot be completed as dialed.
